Hey guys!! :-)
So you guys already know that I attended the #BrunchWithEDEN on Sunday, May 20th right here in Houston. :-) Along with being apart of the hosting committee, I was also shipped the entire EDEN BodyWorks Jojoba Monoi line to try out. I received them a few days before the brunch...and my hair needed a good wash so it was the perfect time to try the products! Here's the style I rocked...
A bantu knot out on tension stretched hair moisturized with the EDEN BodyWorks Jojoba Monoi Hair Milk & Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioner. My hair was SUPER moisturized. Next time, I'll just do the hair milk w/o the Cantu. Ya'll know I haven't done a bantu knot out since last summer!
I did the knots a new way this time to make the knot out last long. I
did 2 strand twists in each section, then re-twisted that same section, &
then let the hair wind around into a circle. I hope that's a good
explanation. I think I'm gonna do a video on what I did because it kind
of sounds weird when I explain it. lol. I got the idea to re-twist the
sections from IKNOWLEE after this video she did on rope twists: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqzbf4xTTgU&list=UU8AWajm6SR-zY0Ns45xOfJA&index=5&feature=plcp
Takedown...
But before I could even get out of the house....Khloa attempts to throw herself from the crib. (see the bruise? :\)
I was going to stay at home after that, but the hubs convinced me that she was okay. She was back to her old self almost immediately after the crying fest that followed when she fell. So I went...
Bella Epique, the hosting venue, a chic salon & makeup bar.
The lovely ladies...
Lisa from This Hair of Mine. Had to get a pic of the back of her dress!
Mimosas. I picked up one & started sipping, but I can't do alcohol. Even though I try sometimes. haha
Ylorie, VP of Marketing at EDEN BodyWorks, educating us on the EDEN BodyWorks brand & their products. She had such a great personality! Ylorie really knew the products, ingredients, & how the hair benefits from them. EDEN was started by then 13 year-old Jasmine Lawrence after she had a bad experience with a relaxer. The products contain no alcohol, no petroleum, no mineral oils and no sodium sulfates. Now EDEN is being sold at major retail stores like Sally Beauty & Walmart. If that isn't motivation I don't know what is! This came at the right time for me.
Naturally Nicky's FRO. It was so pretty.
Ashley Small, of Medley-Inc's gorgeous hair. So full & thick! Def one of the best blowouts I've ever seen.
The winner of the ticket to the brunch!! Hey Danita! :-) We talked forever! LOL
Me (aka Sweaty Face) and Tamara! lol
Donica of Feel Bootiful Inside networking!
Reiko's arm deserved to have it's picture taken! lol
Me & Lee from (youtube.com/IKNOWLEE)
Lee, Nicky, & I! All that pretty hair color.

The outfit. A few things. I tweeted about finding a hi-lo dress at one of my fave stores, Ross, for $12. I LOVED this dress. It was just what I was looking for. Very ethnic with unique neck detailing. Also, this nail color may be my favorite of the year that's how much I adore it. I'm in love with this color! Seriously. Ya'll will see it more this summer. It was hit at the brunch! I got it for $2 at Kroger. Brand: Sally Hansen "Pacific Blue".
It even had a little suprise for the back of the dress. ;-)
It was blazing hot in Houston that day, but I'm so glad I got to spend a few hours learning more about EDEN, chatting about hair, & hanging out w/ my blog buddies & some new folks too! It's always a good time when when we're all together. A BIG, HUGE thank you to Crush Media & the EDEN BodyWorks team for showing Houston ladies love at #BrunchWithEden! Hope to see you guys back in Houston. :-)

The "Brunch with EDEN" tour, which extends throughout 2012, will connect with women in Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, Houston, Detroit, Charlotte, and Minneapolis. So they might be coming to your city! ;-) -via official media recap
