Okay so fast forward 7 hours later....I feel asleep with the conditioner in my hair. So basically I dc'ed for about 6 hours. I fall asleep often with conditioner in my hair so this wasn't a big thing to me. And I used my trusty 'ol grocery bags. Yep! I collect grocery bags out of habit because my mother did it. So I've been dc'ing with grocery bags for about 2.5 years. I had a table top dome dryer but that sucker stopped working in '08. lol, That's okay though. The grocery bags work just fine for me. :-) Note: If I do get another hooded dryer, it'll be for rollersets.
So after showering and rinsing out the conditioner.....
Here's my hair with no product.
I base my leave-in on how my hair feels and what it needs at the moment. I've been having a little breakage so I chose my Aphogee ProVitamin. I divide my hair into two sections (a part down the middle) and spray 3-4 times in my hand for each side.
Then I top it off with my VO5 Moisturizing Conditioner in Strawberries and Cream and coconut oil! I know that Vo5 is meant to be washed out, but it's such a GREAT leave-in. The Aphogee has protein in it and that can be drying to the hair that's why I put the V05 in. It softens my hair up immediately. This equals strong and soft hair. :D The coconut oil is like the icing on the cake. The VO5 and coconut are staples and I use these as leave-ins 99.9% percent of the time.
Then I put my hair in this pony. I usually airdry like this if I'm not going to flat-iron. Sometimes I airdry with my hair loose.
I hope you guys enjoyed my walk through an average wash for me. As you can see it's very simple. :-)

I use V05 and coconut oil too. The combination is amazing with natural hair...and now I can see relaxed hair too.
