So....I'm thinking of taking off an inch of hair every month until I'm natural. Next week I'll be 5 months into my transition :D (oh yeah!) & I'm so anxious to see my natural hair. I'll also be measuring my new growth each month to see how long it is & updating ya'll on HairGurl. My hair is really coming along. :-)
New products alert!: I've been using L'Oreal EverStrong Reconstruct Shampoo for weeks. It's sulfate-free too. The sweet folks at Longhairlovers sent me some products to try as well. Annnnd.....if you follow me on Facebook you know that recently I picked up the Suave Professionals Almond & Shea Butter Moisturizing Conditioner. I may be leaving some stuff out...
So as you can see I have a few product reviews coming up! ;-) Stay tuned to see if they're a yay or a nay.

My Hair Product Pile
We're moving so before I boxed up my hair products I took some photos so you guys can see what I have....It's crazy. I've had some of these products since I started my journey in '07.
Well....here's everybody...hanging out in the Product Pile.
This is my favorite protein condish! I love this stuff....Don't mind the dirtiness of the top. The conditioner looks like mud so it can get a little messy!
Here are my heat protectants. In my opinion, the Smooth 'N Shine is not that great. It left my hair sticky and dry. : \ My #1 is the Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer. :D If you've never heard of it read my post about it here.
I really like all of these oils. I miss having my extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil. I ran out of those and haven't re-stocked as of yet. I will say this.....Coconut. Coconut. COCONUT. My absolute favorite oil. It seems as though I can't say this enough.
Here are the Leave-In Ladies. Aren't they pretty? It took me awhile to get to this point....There was a time when I didn't know what to moisturize my hair with so I experimented and tried all kinds of products until I realized it was these 4 products. STAPLES. They really keep my hair healthy and soft. :-) I don't have to worry about dry hair as long as these ladies are in my life. :-)
Note: Usually I pick between the 2 ApHogee leave-ins. I don't really use them both on my hair at the same time. It really depends on what my hair needs.
Kick off your shoes and step into the Condish Condo. V05 is clearly the majority. Ha! What can I say? Cheap AND Effective. Healthy hair doesn't have to be expensive. The WEN is a cleansing conditioner that's why I put it in this pile. Since Valentine's Day is tommorrow, I highly recommend you ladies to try out Victoria's Secret SO SEXY conditioner.
That contagious smell lingers in your hair for days and it will have that special someone climbing the walls! lol....I wrote about it awhile ago. LaQT nicknamed this the "Freakum Dress of Conditioners." I totally agree. ;-)
Lastly, here are the shampoos. I use the Queen Helene Unscented Garlic Shampoo the most because it keeps shedding and breakage at a minimum. I'm currently trying out the Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo....I'll let you know what I think of it. I forgot all about my coconut shampoo. I can't remember if I was impressed or not with it....I'll be using that soon too.

Morning Hair Wash, Pt.2
Okay so fast forward 7 hours later....I feel asleep with the conditioner in my hair. So basically I dc'ed for about 6 hours. I fall asleep often with conditioner in my hair so this wasn't a big thing to me. And I used my trusty 'ol grocery bags. Yep! I collect grocery bags out of habit because my mother did it. So I've been dc'ing with grocery bags for about 2.5 years. I had a table top dome dryer but that sucker stopped working in '08. lol, That's okay though. The grocery bags work just fine for me. :-) Note: If I do get another hooded dryer, it'll be for rollersets.
So after showering and rinsing out the conditioner.....
Here's my hair with no product.
I base my leave-in on how my hair feels and what it needs at the moment. I've been having a little breakage so I chose my Aphogee ProVitamin. I divide my hair into two sections (a part down the middle) and spray 3-4 times in my hand for each side.
Then I top it off with my VO5 Moisturizing Conditioner in Strawberries and Cream and coconut oil! I know that Vo5 is meant to be washed out, but it's such a GREAT leave-in. The Aphogee has protein in it and that can be drying to the hair that's why I put the V05 in. It softens my hair up immediately. This equals strong and soft hair. :D The coconut oil is like the icing on the cake. The VO5 and coconut are staples and I use these as leave-ins 99.9% percent of the time.
Then I put my hair in this pony. I usually airdry like this if I'm not going to flat-iron. Sometimes I airdry with my hair loose.
I hope you guys enjoyed my walk through an average wash for me. As you can see it's very simple. :-)

Plant Shampoo Alert!
Hey girls!!!
I missed you guys!!! I'm back like I never left. lol I was in CVS today and there was a promo girl in there giving away free samples for Deity America Plant Shampoo For Hair Loss.
Now I've seen this before in the bss, but they've recently started selling the shampoo, moisturizer, and conditioner in CVS. I think there's another product they sell, but I can't remember what it is....I remember reading about one girl's hair knotting up really bad after using plant shampoo so I'm kinda skeptical.
Anyway, have you ever tried Deity America? If so, was it a yay or nay?
For you researchers you can check out their website here.
