Little Brother Concert!!!

My fiance and I went to the Little Brother Concert on Sunday night! We had soooo much fun!!! Despite the fact of almost getting smashed in the eye by a girl dancing...lol. This was my first time seeing them in concert and they truly give their all. Phonte had the whole crowd cracking up with his off the wall old school songs and his preaching. For those of you who don't know, Little Brother is an underground conscious hip hop group straight outta North Carolina. They are really not that underground because they've been featured in magazines, MTV, etc...still they're not really well known. My fiance introduced me to them some years ago...Their sound is so classic and I love the fact that they rap about real things that people want to hear about. They're talking about everyday life so it's easy to relate to their music. LB's music is so relaxing...it's the kinda music they you just chill out too...I'm serious. I try to tell as many people as I can about them because I really believe in their music. I don't understand how "some" music makes it on BET and MTV, but real hip-hop like this gets thrown on the shelf....I guess they're dumbing it down like Lupe Fiasco said. I read an article that said BET thinks their music is too intelligent for their network??? Are you serious? Phonte did freestyle on the cipher interlude for the BET Hip Hop Awards '07. Their video " Loving It" was at least played on MTV, but it never aired on BET....crazy. I'm going to do what I can to promote their music by playing it here on my blog and telling people about their music...Please check them out at their myspace page: www.myspace.com/littlebrother Also, here's "Loving It" by Little Brother. I was rocking a cute braidout at the concert, but I sweat that out as soon as I started dancing! lol! People let's stop this "Dumb It Down" Movement!!!! Tell everyone you know about Little Brother!!!! :-)
