To Stretch or Not to Stretch...

Hey people!!!
Okay, so right now I am 7 weeks post and I'm thinking about stretching my relaxer to 12-14 weeks. I've never stretched that long (the longest was 11 weeks) but I kinda want to just to see if my hair will thicken up a bit. I'm used to having a fresh relaxer for the holidays so this will definitely be a challenge for me! lol!
My hair usually becomes unbearable after 10 weeks so...I don't know....I'll keep you guys posted...

Goodluck with the stretch! I can only for long if i am in braids...lol! Only stretch til ur hair begs for u to stop, aka breakage, shedding, etc

If you decide to continue to stretch your relaxer make sure that you are deep conditioning and have a good moisturizer to combat breakage. Shedding is normal as long as its the the full length of your hair if its shorter that means its breaking. Protactive styles are best for this to avoid excess combing and/or heat. I suggest twist or braid outs.

Jmilz86-So far so good. I'm at 10 weeks now so...we'll see!

NaturallyBeautiful-Thanks for the tips NB! I'm realizing how important a good moisturizer is right now! I think I'll do a braidout for new year's eve...
