Christmas music (especially Jackson 5's "Santa Claus is coming to town" & Boys II Men's "Let it Snow") gets me in the holiday mood!

Christmas lights and music get me in the holiday mood. I play it on Pandora first thing in the morning to wake up to. My hubby put the tree up the week after Thanksgiving so the ambiance that the lights bring just get me in the spirit of Christmas. Makes me feel all warm inside. Brings back memories.

Lately I've had to work very hard to get into the Christmas spirit. My mom passed a few years ago just a few days before Christmas and now I have a tendancy to get sad around the holidays. So to get into the Christmas spirit I like to go Christmas caroling in my neighborhood. We do a hay ride (I live in TX so it's quite normal) and share the gift of Christ to anyone who will listen. We pass out tracks and invite people to church. It always puts my in a great mood!

Christmas music and my dad's Christmas cookies always get me in the mood for Christmas.

What gets me in the holiday mood is the tradition of beginning my Christmas decorations that day after Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping. I lost my grandmother right after Christmas and one thing she told me before she passed was to enjoy life...so this year I hosted a party called the Holiday Hang Sweet (central theme on all the desserts).

I love cooking for my family for the holidays. It's something about seeing the look on their face while they enjoy all the love I put into cooking. I love making my family fat full during the holidays, lol.
