Snow Weekend

Hey HGs! I hope you guys are doing great on this snowed-in (well for us DMV peeps) night! Here's the aftermath of our snowmageddon. The whole area received between 20-35 inches depending on where you were located. The hubs and I ventured outside and I almost drowned in the snow. It was literally up to my thighs! Crazy..... My hubby's truck....I couldn't believe it.

A tree limb fell on this car. The cars next to it are buried in the snow. Cherry Pie completely covered. She didn't stand a chance against all that snow....lol.... *she's the little egg shaped car*

So this was a perfect "pamper my hair" weekend. I washed and dc'd and now I'm trying to figure out what style to put it in..... I'm 6 weeks post and my hair is doing pretty good. I noticed that the longer it gets the better I have to get at detangling. It used to be easy....not anymore. I'll be posting a Product Yay tommorrow. Night ya'll. :-)

Meet Cherry Pie. :D

I know this is a hair blog, but I HAD to post my new car. My dream car has always been the Jeep Wrangler until.............I saw the Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible. The Beetles were never on my radar until I saw the convertible. :D They are so beautiful to me! The fact that it's salsa red is the icing on the cake..... i.love.red.cars. So here's Cherry Pie (named after my favorite pie). Top Down. :D Top Up. I like the top down better! I can't wait until it gets warmer. And if you guys are wondering why I bought a car in the dead of winter, here's why. Hardly anyone is buying a CONVERTIBLE at the beginning of the year. It's cold. This is the time of year when you'll get the best deals on virtually any car. In the winter, car sales are usually down and salesmen want to meet their quotas. I got a great deal on my car and I'm proud of myself for sticking it out and being patient. :-) -K.D.

Okay the title is a little dramatic, but I couldn't help it. Brown Girl Gumbo held a giveaway for the Caress Evenly Gorgeous Burnt Brown Sugar & Karite Butter Beauty Bar and I won! I love Caress bar and it's the only bar soap I use. It makes my skin so soft. I use body washes when I shower and Caress bar soap when I take bubble baths. I can't wait to try this scent out! I love this site because Karla talks about everything from mascara to fashion. It's definitely a must read site and I think you guys should check it out if you haven't already. I can't believe I won. :-) I know it's just soap, but I love to win stuff. This kind of thing hardly ever happens to me....needless to say I'm extremely excited! -K.D.
