The A to Z of K.D.

 I believe this was taken in June. This was a romper with a skirt over the top. haha...I think I got the scarf from my mother years ago. Both the romper & skirt are from Forever 21 & they were each no more than $10. Nine West shoes purchased for $20.:-)

C. Chore that you hate: WASHING DISHES! Years ago, I actually liked washing dishes. lol My... have times changed. I actually use the dishwasher a lot now & I was anti-dishwasher the majority of my life. LOL

D. Dogs: Nah...I prefer kittens, but I don't have one. :-(

E. Essential start of your day: Waking up to Khloa's pretty smile! She smiles as soon as she sees me. No matter how rough I'm looking! lol! I love that feeling. 

F. Favorite color: Okay, lilac is my favorite color. Well, at least it was in junior high & high school. I even had a lilac room. but now I think it's red due to my red everything mentality. I love how it looks. Red car. Red laptop. Red stroller. ETC.

G. Gold or Silver: Gold. It's the perfect metal for summer which is my fave season.

H. Height: 5'5 with brown eyes. ;-)

 I. Instruments you play: Ummmmm. Would love to learn how to play the piano one day though.

W. What makes you run late: Khloa! Having an infant it makes it even harder to get out of the house. I have to get up twice actually 3 times as early to leave. Then, as we're walking out of the door there's always that last minute feeding that comes up or a random crying fest. But, I am getting better!

X. X-rays you've had: Dental and shoulder.

Y. Yummy food you make: My cornbread dressing! You won't find any Stove Top here. My dressing is the real southern deal. Haha!

Z. Zoo animal: Why the Lion, of course! I'm a Leo ya know. ;-)

I Spy Hair Growth!

If you follow my other blog, you've already seen the photo to the right, but I just HAD to post it on HairGurl too. L. Michelle from My Hair is Me said it first & now I can finally see some hair growth. :D

So now I've been natural for 1.5 months! The hubs said he could tell my hair has grown too. :-)

Natural for Almost 2 Weeks-What I'm Using

My bc has revealed that I have my father's head.

Hey HGs! Last week, Inspired Mommy left me a comment asking me what I use on my hair now that I'm natural. My mixture is pretty simple. Well, so far that is....but it's working! I still wash about 1-2 times a week. Also, I've been co-washing as well. I'm loving my wash n-gos right now and I haven't tried any braidouts or twistouts. Don't think I have enough hair for all of that, lol! After washing or washing, I apply the following.

1. First, I apply Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream. I was sent a box of their products! This stuff smells like fruit. Yums. 2. Then, I put either the Cantu Shea Butter Super Shine Hair Silk or Extra Virgin Olive Oil in my hair. 3. I rub Eco Styler Styling Gel throughout. The way I rub it in, it pretty much defines the curl.

On days I don't wash, I just add some water or Cantu Leave In and go.. I usually use a little oil too. I'm liking this mixture and as you can see it's simple. It leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturized. I'm going to be trying out more mixtures to see what my hair likes. :-) Feel free to chime in with what prods moisturize your hair!

I'm Natural! (Pics)

So here's what I wore on my head while I was out yesterday. I'm telling ya'll...I wasn't feeling that haircut at all. It took awhile, but I finished it...(if you follow me on Twitter you know I already tweeted a sneak peek) *birthmark on my neck* My transition is officially over. I have 2 inches of new growth all over, but shrinkage is a known beast. I love curls, curls, curls, curls, curls I do adore! I LOVE IT!!!! I'm still getting used to seeing my funny shaped head, lol! I'll be taking some more pics tommorrow. Here's the natural me. :-) Sidenote: Yes, I wear this dress all the time! It's so comfortable especially for the baby bump.
