Natural Hair Twists Updo (1st Attempt)

The only products in my hair are the  EDEN BodyWorks Jojoba Monoi Hair Milk & the Jojoba Monoi Hair Oil. Taking a hair tip from the Houston #BrunchWithEDEN last month, I used them both together & was very pleased with the moisture they added to my hair. Not too heavy either.

Steps Done on Freshly Washed Hair
1. Applied the Hair Milk in sections.
2. Sealed with the Hair Oil.
3. Put in my twists.
4. Used bobby pins to secure them into an updo the next morning. They were still a little damp....

That's it! This was a quick, functional updo for running errands. Def will be doing it again! :D
I'll also keep you guys up to date on how the EDEN BodyWorks products work on dry hair, different styles, etc!

New Hairstyle: French Twist & Twist Out Curls!

This is the updo I rocked this weekend....and I'm still rocking it! All of these pics except for the one outside were taken in the Chevy Traverse.

Man, I love this updo. As you can see it's almost identical to the French Twist with Curls except these curls were created by a twist out not a bantu knot out. I also posted more french twist w/ curls photos on Facebook I think last week. Except this one was on a twist out. I did a video on on how to do it. Still editing it so when I'm done (should be today) I'll add the video to this post. Oh & check out our 1st Traverse video on Facebook! The hubs & I actually did the video on this day. :-)

Here's the video (finally!):

My 1st Twist Out on Natural Hair!

Did some random twists on my hair just to stretch it today. I had no idea what style to put it in, but I knew I wanted it to be stretched. After taking the twists out, the curls looked so pretty! So I decided to rock a twist out (which i haven't rocked since the beginning of my healthy hair care adventure in '07).

I'll do a better one next time!! This one was completely random!

Jazzing Up Ponytails: Twists

This is something I do with almost every ponytail I make. I always add something to the front like a cute piece of hair accessory or a little hump. Sometimes I do a braid in the front. Recently, I've discovered that I like how twists look! Like actual twists. A lot of times I'll twist, but it just looks like a hump.... The actual twists are even better. Especially with my infamous wash & go ponytail! :-) As my hair gets longer, the look slightly different than they used. Hey, I'm not complaining. lol
I do the twist on side of my head....
This is just the first of a new series on HG called Jazzing Up Ponytails. Ponytails have been helping me retain length since '08 so I've come up with A LOT of ways to jazz them up. Next post- braids!
